Souled Out

Aim

Souled Out is a primary programme for fellowship (Connect) and should provide young people in years 10 to year 13 an understanding of the basics of Christianity, to provide a fun and creative atmosphere for them to understand that God loves and wants to know them more and a greater understanding and grounding in the bible and biblical characters.  The goal of the programme is to move them towards becoming a Christian or moving on in their spiritual journey to mature in their faith.

What to expect

One of the few youth organisations in Knock to have refrained from adopting “-house” in its name, Souled Out is aimed at young people in Years 10– 14 and aims to enable young people to grow in their faith, while encouraging those young people who have not yet made a Christian commitment to consider the claims of the Bible and of Jesus Christ.

Last years theme was unexpected Heroes looking at ordinary people called by God to extraordinary things. Like Joseph, Moses, Nehemiah, Paul, Martha, Noah etc.  This year we are undertaking an Old Testament Challenge taking a jorney through the Old Testament from Adam to Jonah

We try to present the Bible in an imaginative, relevant and, above all, entertaining fashion.

Recent social events have included a Progressive lunch, end of year BBQ.

This year we have up to 35 young people in attendance (who somehow understand it all) and we would be delighted to welcome more. If you are between 14 and 17, male or female, human, with a working knowledge of Thermodynamics, an interest in the Bible – or just having fun – Souled Out is your spiritual home. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, 10.00 am in the Kairos Centre.
