Time & Place
The Parent & Toddler group meets every Thursday morning between 10 and 11.45am in the Elliott Hall.
What to expect
Numbers have continued to grow, there are about 50-60 parents and children there every week.
Some belong to the church – and others do not. However, all those who come along live locally. Many strong friendships have been formed and there is a lively, fun atmosphere each week.
In addition to the Parents & Toddlers’ mornings, we have monthly ‘nites out’, pre-arranged trips to the swimming pool, cookery sessions and shopping trips!
The children range in age from babies through to three years. We have activity mats and a range of toys for the little ones and bigger ride-on toys, prams, tunnels, play houses and train sets for the older kids.
As well as a little mini-library, we have colouring-in sessions, ‘messy time’ with play dough and a calendar of craft events. Story time for the toddlers takes place away from the buzz of the Elliott Hall, in the quiet of the Crèche.
Everyone joins in the sing-a-long time, where we do nursery rhymes, tv theme tunes, Christian songs – and requests!
The mothers – and sometimes fathers too – get a chance to relax with a coffee while the children enjoy toast and juice.
There is no charge for Parents & Toddlers, although we do ask people to make a contribution towards refreshments.
